THRIVE
Tuesdays 6pm

Penarth Methodist Church (Room 1)

This is your opportunity to get out of your head and back into your body.   Blending traditional yoga poses with other, more explorative and intuitive movement and with a real emphasis on discovering how things feel in your body, rather than worrying too much about the shapes you're making or what poses you can get into – there’s room and options for everyone.

A nurturing, laid-back and playful space where you can connect with lots of variations of poses that work best for you and your body – with a gentle encouragement to use the breath as your guide.

This is a fluid flow that explores a range of poses focused on different aspects of the body, intuitive movement that feels natural.  Inspired by a Somatics approach, this is a space to help you let go of your thinking mind and get more in-tune with your feeling body.

Classes are fun and varied and poses can be modified to suit all levels.   Max 8 per class. All levels welcome.

Move into Stillness - a retreat experience

Saturday 18 July 10am - 2pm, The Hall, Penarth Methodist Church

Step away from the pace of the every day and into this beautifully curated half-day retreat designed to help you reset on a deeper level - physically, mentally and energetically.

Starting with a fluid, vinyasa practice, connecting movement with the breath to draw you back into your body, building warmth and gently shifting any lingering heavy energy.  From there, the pace softens as you’re guided into a slower, more expansive yin practice -creating space to release, restore and settle into a deeper state of calm.

Woven throughout the experience are subtle, intentional practices - breathwork to ground the nervous system, subtle lymphatic-focused movements to support circulation, alongside bio-energetic techniques to support the body’s natural flow and restore a sense of internal balance. Everything is designed to feel refined, accessible and quietly powerful.

This is an unhurried space. There’s time to pause and integrate, to absorb that beautiful energy we will be cultivating . . . .  along with tea and treats (of course!) to complete the experience.

A thoughtful balance of movement and stillness, structure and softness, open to all levels and abilities, options for everyone and props provided. All you need is your mat, some water and maybe a blanket or pillow or anything you’d like to make you that bit more comfy during the more restorative parts.
