CLASSES

YOGA FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH

Tuesdays 6pm - NEXT COHORT STARTS  22 April - 15 July (no class 13 May)

We'll explore how yoga and somatic movement can help support your mental and physical wellbeing. This class is suitable for women of any age who want to support their health, build strength, flexibility, mobility and feel more connected to their body. It's especially beneficial to support you through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

It is through movement that we create resilience in the body. Classes are suitable for women no matter where you are in life and are designed to proactively support your health and well-being. Classes are accessible for all levels (modifications and options are available for all poses), focusing not only on physical strength and flexibility, but also on cultivating mental clarity and emotional resilience. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques, you can strengthen your body, improve balance, and reduce stress - key factors in supporting your heath through life. Classes empower women to build a strong foundation for wellness that lasts through every stage of life.

Yoga is amazing at improving our long term physical and mental health, helping to build and maintain flexibility and balance.

We will look at how yoga, mediation and breathwork can support:

  • pain management

  • boosting mood and energy

  • building strength

  • improving mobility, relaxation and sleep

  • improving flexibility/circulation

  • supporting back pain

  • pelvic floor

  • focus and intention

  • regulate hormones

  • improve memory

  • slow down age related neuro-degeneration

  • improve mental processes

  • managing anxiety and calming the mind by reducing the effect of stress on the brain

Classes are kept to a maximum of 8 so you get the attention you need, guiding and supporting you in your practice. Options and modification are offered so you can take what you need and leave the rest.    Your body, your practice.

Informed by yogic principles such as aparigraha (non-attachment) and santosha  (contentment), the practice cultivates an attitude of openness to change. It encourages us to let go of rigid expectations of the body and instead embrace each moment as it is, finding power in the process of transformation as we move through life.
